There are several ways to contribute to the project. We are currently looking for sponsors for the event and would like to highlight local businesses along the hiking stages, as well as businesses that share our values that everyone should have the right to meaningful and active leisureregardless of functional variation. We are primarily looking for financial contributions to be able to keep costs down for participants, as the target group often has worse financial conditions than the average person. Contact us to find out how you can contribute in a smooth way. Every contribution is valuable and helps to make a positive difference.
Accommodation along the trail varies. The registration fee includes tent accommodation. There are also a number of accessible rooms at several of the campsites, where you as a participant on the hike receive a discounted price. Contact us to find out more.
Are there toilets available during the hike?
Yes, we will bring a simpler version of a mobile toilet that can be used during lunch breaks and in connection with campsites that lack a fixed HCP toilet.
If you don't have equipment, is it possible to rent it from you?
Yes, it is possible to rent certain equipment (sleeping bag, sleeping mat, thermos, etc.). Contact us for more information.
What do we mean by participants and fellow hikers?
As a participant, you must have some form of disability, but as a Fellow hiker, the requirement is that you help a participant with what is needed during the week. If you have a disability that means you need a lot of help, for example with going to the toilet, eating or help with a wheelchair, you must have a companion/fellow hiker with you to make the hike as safe and enjoyable as possible. Regardless of whether you are a participant or a Fellow hiker, you can choose to be with you either for the entire hike, half the hike or for a single stage.
